Summer swim club is about having good, clean, fun. Our kids are active, healthy, and too tired to get up to no good.
About Us
Club History
The Campbell River Salmon Kings began in the summer of 1962 by Ms. Dot Andrews. Her dream of coaching began at Moose Falls, where she trained a group of summer swimmers. She moved her athletes to Rotary Beach, followed by McIvor Lake and eventually to Centennial Pool. She moved the summer club to the outdoor pool the summer of 1967; the same year that the pool began its operation. Since then the pool has expanded, a new heating system has been added, new washrooms, a boiler, and has had a number of paint jobs. The summer of 2012 was our 50th year of operation for the swim club, we had a summer of celebration.
